bookchiq: Wish Gmail supported contact merging… I think I’ll export, make changes in an offline app, then re-import. They support importing, right?
bookchiq: The joys of plugin development and mumbling: my sister heard, “How do you spell dysfunction?”… but I said, “How do I use this function?”
Many of the designers I work with are bloggers themselves, but some are not, so this is intended to be an introduction to what goes into a blog design.
When I refer to blog design on this page,…
bookchiq: Just wrote a reference post for graphic designers who want to get into blog design. Annotated screenshots and everything! http://is.gd/19Be
bookchiq: What online tools do you use to track your site’s performance and popularity? I’ve been using SEOMoz’s Trifecta but am looking for others.
bookchiq: @mlsamuelson Dying laughing at that craigslist post.
bookchiq: Now tackling overwhelming workload and vowing to never overbook myself in the future. Ha.
bookchiq: Placed second in my category in the mtb race on Saturday (with a HUGE gap between me and first place, but whatever).
Leanna introduced me to the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser today, so we took some before-and-after video.
From the August 2008 issue of Parents (given to me at BlogHer):
I really like Katie’s idea.
bookchiq: Trying out Scour. I used Blingo until they switched to crappy Yahoo results so glad to see this uses Google (among others) http://is.gd/111d
bookchiq: Enjoying some crazy unstable weather here. Rain and thunder and lots of hail. Hope the power stays up. :)
bookchiq: I want an RSS reader that REALLY learns my habits and shows me items I’ll like, even if I’m not subscribed to the feed. Does this exist?
bookchiq: Seriously overwhelmed by the number of quote requests that came in while I was away. Going to have to stop taking new clients for a while.
bookchiq: At #SFO for the trip home. Enjoying the TMobile prepaid card that came with the #blogher08 swag. Scheming how to leave it for someone else.
bookchiq: Okay, I admit it: I don’t “get” FriendFeed. Someone send me a compelling reason I want to use yet another service and get more data.
bookchiq: @owlhaven My pleasure. It’s always satisfying to beat random blog issues into submission. :) Glad you had a safe trip home.
This came in handy for a weird migration bug in WordPress that prevented the comment count from transferring accurately.
I’ve been informed that I MUST read this blog now that I know I’m preggo with a boy. :)
This plugin was recommended at BlogHer for managing categories easily.

bookchiq: Broke down and brought the laptop to #blogher08 today. At Microsoft SEO breakfast; they have an interesting equivalent to Webmaster Tools.
bookchiq: Met a kajillion blogger chicks tonight at the Newbie and People’s parties. Going to sleep so as to still function come morning. #blogher

Sometimes I need to access email via RSS (or it makes life easier). This tool lets me do that.
When I get an iPhone, I will probably get this, too. :)
This looks like good software for tracking workouts. If I ever get me a GPS bike computer, I want to find this again.
bookchiq: Working early, trying desperately to get everything done today before I leave for BlogHer bright and early tomorrow.
bookchiq: @jantd Yes, our first kid. Obviously lots of fun learning experiences ahead! :)
A handy tool for creating disclosure policies for blogs and making your readers feel better (or at least better informed).
bookchiq: Had 2nd trimester ultrasound yesterday and sonographer says with good confidence that it’s a boy: http://is.gd/U1H
